Apologies to Richard Dawkins
I read the following quote from Richard Dawkins " The creator of the universe, sublime inventor of mathematics, of relativistic space-time, of quarks and quanta, of life itself, Almighty God, who read our every thought and hears our every prayer, omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent God couldn't think of a better way to forgive us than to have himself tortured and executed." It stopped me in my tracks and invoked a "Wow, what an incredible God!" exclamation from me. My apologies to Richard, who brilliant scientist that he was, did not share my faith in an Almighty God. Richard was scoffing at this God and I was marvelling at this God. It is so easy to become blasé in thinking about God, the creator, but when described in these terms suddenly I am in awe. The inventor of mathematics, of quarks and quanta, atoms and neutrons, of things we can see and cannot see, of molecular energy and sound waves...I am wonderstruck.
